Drupal Developer

Maine Web FX is currently seeking a freelance web designer / programmer for a long-term project. Position could become permanent.

Skills required for this position include the following:

  • Familiarization with the Drupal content management system (PHP)
  • Experience with PHP
  • Working knowledge & understanding of CSS

Specifically, the project is for a website relying heavily on the Drupal core, with work needed in theming, views, and a handful of customized modules for the site.

Job Information:

  • Website Name: Outa10 (www.outaten.com)
  • Project Goal: A multi-media / social network / e-commerce / fan (sport) site based on the Drupal core CMS
  • Overview: The site is in mid-stage, with video, layout and functionality. Eventually, there will be vendors and sponsors added to the site, each with their own custom pages within the site. A strong background in Drupal modules such as views is necessary top complete the project.
  • Long-Term: The site promises to bring international vendors, with an ongoing need for constant theme development, upgrades and maintenance.

Hourly pay of up to $60 per hour depending on experience.

Description: Applicants will need to have their own computer and software with an intenet connection. Work will be done off-site (not at the Maine Web FX offices). No special software is needed to complete any work on the site, but the following are strongly recommended: Firefox, with Web Developer Tools; A graphics program such as Adobe PhotoShop, or Fireworks (although any graphic program will work fine); access to an FTP program.
